Andy joined the board in 2026 as an Athena parent. His family found here what they hadn't found elsewhere: teachers who took the time to understand how his child learns, appreciated what makes them different, and challenged them accordingly. That experience — and the dedication of the staff behind it — is what he'd like to help protect and extend.

He has spent more than twenty years as a software engineer at early-stage companies, building consumer products in social gaming and messaging, often in categories that didn't yet exist. He brings that experience to the work of introducing Athena to more families and supporting the teachers who make it exceptional.
