"The summer program at Athena Academy was everything we didn't know we needed. We tried several summer programs over the years and this was the one and only program that our daughter came home smiling and excited to go back! Summer "school" was finally not a struggle. She was actually learning while getting to know like-minded kids and teachers who understood her. She truly found where she belonged at Athena."

- Parent of 6th grade child

"Summer at Athena Academy was a fantastic program for my dyslexic child. He was able to learn reading, writing, and math strategies that he uses to this day. The small classes allowed him to make friends quickly and connect with his teachers. The fact that he came home each day talking about how much fun he had was a huge bonus. Just what we were looking for!"

-Parent of 3rd grade child

"So happy we found Athena Academy camp. My son looks forward to camp every year and always has so many positive things to say after. They have a great curriculum with many hands-on learning activities!"

-Parent of 3rd grade child

Summer at Athena Academy is proud to offer a week-long skills program for dyslexic students entering grades 1 – 8. This program is specifically designed, utilizing Athena Academy’s unique teaching approach, to help dyslexic students build foundational skills for learning.

Our highly trained, dedicated teachers will work with the students on understanding the way their brains work and through multi-sensory, skills-based instruction teach them to use their visual-spatial strengths when learning. The incorporation of our project-based curriculum will engage the students with meaningful and fun content that will allow them to apply the skills being taught.

Through engaging hands-on projects in our Makerspace your dyslexic thinkers can explore their passions and build on their strengths while getting the summer boost they need to find success in school.
